Sorry *** Company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Caremark in San Antonio, TX is one sorry *** company! They only hire Black People for DEI requirements going all the way back 20 years, take Calvin in the Shipping & Pharmacy Tech area.

That POS is only in management because he is Black but he has no Brain Smarts. He didnt even realize that there were two Cocaine Dealers right in front of his face. These Dealers were both of the Rudys in the shipping & tech area. The two Rudys were the fat one & the thin one with tatoos & piercings.

Guess what else, some of the Pharmacists were buying Cocaine from these two fine individuals. Another thing, ever wonder who had been stealing medication from the shipping area? It was some of the Pharmacists. Take a swift slap in the face Caremark because you need to wake up.

But the way, this has been going on for a long time. One more thing, I became a Multi-Millionaire investing in Crypto early, all thanks to getting fired by that *** Calvin. I would have never found out about investing in this if I was still at Caremark because of all the idiots and *** that work there. At my new job some employees were into Crypto Currencies and I joined in due to their expertise.

Thank you Calvin for firing me! I hope you are somewhere out there sucking your own *** I do thank you though Calvin with all my heart, if it wasnt for you my life probably would still stink like you.

Poor Customer service and delayed refills

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I hate this company. I use Advair or its generic.

I've tried getting it at the local pharmacy many times buts it always backordered for weeks! They are constantly changing which is covered. My doctor sent over Advair and specified OR generic to Caremark. I was sent Breo as a substitute and half the dosage my Advair specifies.

When I called my doctor they told me he sent both over. But, the Advair was cancelled because it was brand name. I told the lady on the phone he specified generic was OK. She told me they don't just send a generic so since the Advair was not covered they cancelled the prescription.

Thats BS! I'm going back to Walgreens.

As soon as my remaining scripts are run out I will never send another over to Caremark OR CVS. I'm tired of calling and wasting time on hold with Caremark and my doctors office to get things straightened out.

Borderline Fraudulent

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I would give CVS Caremark 0 Stars if allowed. Unfortunately, my company switched insurance companies and I had no choice but to use CVS Caremark for a pricey prescription.

My issue is that the company processed a payment of $230 from my debit card on Jan 17th, when I removed this as a form of payment and replaced it with my FSA account. Numerous calls to CVS Caremark and speaking to their Senior Account Resolution team and my funds are not back in my checking account a week later.

I asked for an explanation from the numerous representatives and supervisors that I spoke to, and not one could give me an answer. I was advised this matter would be resolved and my funds would be back in my account in 1 business day, and that did not happen.

If this happened to me, then I can assure you it has happened to other customers. I will no longer be using CVS Caremark and have transferred all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy (albeit it will be more expensive), but I refuse to give CVS Caremark anymore.

Yes they try and interfere especially if the medication is pricey. If you go to your State's website and put through a complaint with the District Attorney's Office for health care fraud you may get somewhere.

You shouldn't have to do this, of course, but this is the unfortunate world of health care nowadays. Fight back - don't let them get away with it.

Issues Filling Prescriptions

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Every month my doctor sends a script for my prescription and every month theres some kind of fight to get my meds. My prescription was sent over on Tuesday and I logged into my account to see if my medication was ready for pickup. Nope. It needs a prior authorization. Every month. Whats the point of sending a script? Unfortunately my employer requires us to use them, otherwise Id go elsewhere.

Irresponsible, Unreliable,Untrustworthy, ZERO Stars...

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Another BIG company that just doesn't care about their customers.

Sadly I was beginning to think well of CVS as a mail order pharmacy until my Medicare Part D Provider changed from them to a different mail order Rx provider. As 2023 came to a close CVS assured me twice that they were going to refill my scripts one more time.

Then on Jan.

1, 2024 they just threw out all member info and order status as though I never existed. Too Bad... Sucks to be You! No Notification, No Order Cancellation update.

By the time I realized that my needed refills were not coming my account was inactive and I needed to have new scripts written by my Dr (s) and transmitted to the new mail order pharmacy.

I will go days without my needed meds. BAD CVS!

Raising Prescription Costs For Not Using CVS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Original review Jan 09, 2024

I left CVS because of the 2 day turnaround to fill a prescription or an hour wait time. Horrible customer service and the staff ignores phone calls so you can never get an answer or know if a prescription is ready without a trip to the location and waiting in line.

So I found a great pharmacy at my local grocery store without more then 1 person wait and they always answer calls. I even received a Christmas card signed by all the staff. But one month at a time, I would receive a letter from CareMark saying that a prescription would need to return to CVS and be filled by mail order to continue at the current savings or they would raise my cost or stop coverage altogether. Each month I would receive a new letter on another prescription they would stop covering if I did not return to CVS.

When I tried to call CareMark and see if they would allow an exception, I would only get an at-home worker who would note my concern but I would never get a reply or a lower price. To date, I get better pricing with GoodRX on 6 of my 8 prescriptions.

About 50% of my take home income is now used to pay medical and prescriptions and that's with insurance. This should be illegal.

Not covering medications

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My company recently switched from Express Scripts to Caremark and this is by far the worst decision they made. I am diabetic and Caremark doesn't cover any of the medications that my dr has me on until my deductible is met...which happens to be $3200.

I am on 6 different meds and 2 are no longer covered as well as my glucose monitoring system.

One of the meds is $500 per month and the other is $600 per month while the other 4 are $100 combined.

And customer service told me that until the deductible was met they don't pay and then it is 80% they will cover unless it is on their list of approved medications. Which both of them are!!!

When you woke up on January 1, you had a $3200 deductible and had paid $0 towards it. According to you, today January 30, you have paid out of pocket $1200 since then.

At the end of February, after purchasing the six meds for a second time, your tally is up to $2400.

In March $800 will remain to pay plus 20% of $400 or $80 being $880 to pay in March . Finally in April it will be 20% of $1200 or $240 your responsibility since you met you deductible in March.

Well maybe you should’ve been more proactive and made healthier life choices before getting to this point at which you are now! Also oerhaps you should understand the definition of DEDUCTIBLE.

This has nothing to do with Caremark and everything to do with the insurance plan YOU selected.

Take some responsibility for your own actions. Lose some of that entitlement of which you reek.

They can't seem to fill my perscriptions ever they are terrible to deal with and point fingers at my Dr. when they can't fill perscriptions. I suppose it is my Dr.'s fault that CVS CAREMARK says my perscription is in the mail and 2 weeks go by and they are not in the mail and nobody from CVS has called me to report any issues. They are terrible and impossible to get straight answers from every time. This has been my experience and I simply get sick to my stomach when I have to talk with them rude, snotty people.

Terrible!!! GO TO YOUR LOCAL CVS PHARMACY!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

When they are good, they are very good but when there is one mix up it takes an act of congress to get it resolved. They charge your card for any prescription that is ordered (whether it is correct or NOT).

When you try to stop an order that isn't correct they tell you "too late" and you get charged a huge fee and no returning it (unopened) NOPE, sorry your card got charged for the wrong medication and you are paying for it! You can't take the unopened bottle back to your local CVS, it just belongs to you. Every time a doctor puts in anything they do this. We have tried to get them to call us, text us or email us for APPROVAL before sending three different times yet, they still charge, fill & mail out.

Times are hard, medicine is expensive, we are going to have to drop mail order and go to the local pharmacy for pick up. At least, you can deny the prescription if it is incorrect.

CVS mischarged us and we are going to report it to the state attorneys office. Seriously, it could possibly make a difference - the more of us who do this on state plans, Medicaid, Medicare, etc., perhaps we can collectively convince state and feds to go with another company. CVS Caremark is unethical and robbed us - we are fighting back - but sad to say so many people have been robbed by this incompetent company.

Refusing to fill prescriptions

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've had multiple irritating experiences with CVS Caremark. Constantly refusing to refill prescriptions they have already approved or deciding to no longer approve life saving medications. For whatever reason my current employer has an insurance/prescription plan with this damn business so I can't get my meds filled anywhere else unless I want pay hundreds of dollars for each refill. I pay a lot of money each month so insurance will cover my meds, just to get them denied over and over again! What a SCAM!

My new insurance carrier

If you value your health stay away. They put profits over health. Making me take very dangerous drugs that have severe side effects. Even government site says to use only as last option but insurance making me use this drug first as they don't want to pay for the safer injection shots. My doctor even appealed based on my health history and they still denied. They are making my health decisions. They should have no right to over ride a doctor's opinion. Scary that someone who is not a doctor can do that.

Incompetent Employees

This is by far the worst prescription insurance plan that there is. My company "merged" with a larger company and we were forced to switch to this pathetic excuse of a business starting this month.

I go to pick up my refill that my doctor submitted and thepharmacy told me my insurance wouldn't cover it. I call CVS Caremark and they tell me they need a prior authorization sent in from my doctor (even though I've been on this medication for years) so my doctor filled it out and sent it back in, well CVS Caremark denied it because my doctor didn't specify the generic brand!!! I guess my last insurance company was just staffed with more knowledgeable people who knew the names of the generic medication because that's what I've always received and never had an issue until now.

I have been put of my meds for 4 days, I can barely get out of bed, can't focus on my tasks at work and feel depression coming down on me hard and these customers service idiots keep telling me to calm down when they are the ones holding the benefits that I pay for hostage!!! Seriously if something bad happens to me I hope my family goes after CVS Caremark to the fullest!!

Denied medication despite following their steps.

My psychiatrist and personal health nurse have put hours of wasted time fighting corrupt CVS Caremark. My psychiatrist prescribed a medication for insomnia, as other medications have failed and I am having adverse effects from lack of sleep. Denied despite all the forms and meds cvs said to try, now they arent returning calls to either of my medical team providers. Wasted money trying 5 different medications and they still deny the medication. All about money for them. I cant wait until the day they or their family he treated like this.
